What is this Python project?

It's an educational tool that visualizes Python data at runtime to debug references, mutability, and aliasing. The visualizations allow students to more easily learn the right mental model for Python data. The tool integrates in many debuggers and environments.

What's the difference between this Python project and similar ones?

It's a modern version of Python Tutor that runs locally to avoid the limitations of running Python code on a remote web server. In addition the visualization is improved by mirroring the data’s hierarchy resulting in better graph readability.
