@tianon do you have a hint why bashbrew is failing with the multi stage build? I assume this is supported as https://github.com/docker-library/drupal also uses it.

That's likely caused by

docker/generate-stackbrew-library.sh

Lines 21 to 24 in 7c8d83d

	toupper($1) == "COPY" {
	for (i = 2; i < NF; i++)
	print $i;
	}

which should maybe look more like https://github.com/docker-library/drupal/blob/fb55fda9e166a2f64907d796f6866acb3e7ca244/generate-stackbrew-library.sh#L45-L52 with this change.
