Defining column usage on Pass Through tab

When you first open the Pass Though tab, it will have the columns that you defined in the Flat File Connection Manager.

You have to set the Usage of the columns. There are three options:

1. Passthough
   1. This will push the column into every output as is.
2. RowData
   1. This is the column with the data that needs to be further split
3. RowType
   1. This is the column that identifies how the data needs to be split

The following shows the settings completed, and the Preview button pressed.
