Data Act Workflow

Daniel Boos edited this page Jul 30, 2021 · 17 revisions

The Data Act is enforced through a workflow of several interconnected systems with the main flow being:

  • Agencies report their spending through the Broker application through DABS Submissions. The Broker enforces validations of the data via the DAIMS Schema to ensure the data is accurate. The submission data gets stored in the Broker database available to be processed the following night.
  • A pipeline runs every night, pulling the latest agency data from the Broker (along with other relevant external data) and processes it all in its own database. As the data gets processed, the website USASpending surfaces the new agency data for public viewing.
