I love it!, I have a optional suggestion, only do it if you have time/want to learn something.

You could create a smaller image by using an Alpine (based) base image, like:
https://github.com/frol/docker-alpine-fpc

Also you could split the current setup into a Multi stage build where only the compiled program ends up in the final image and all the compiler itself is discarded.
