Security Policy

Reporting a Vulnerability

The APIVerve team takes security seriously. If you discover a security vulnerability, please follow these steps:

1. Do Not Open a Public Issue

Please do not report security vulnerabilities through public GitHub issues.

2. Contact Us Directly

Submit a security report at: https://apiverve.com/contact

Include:

  • Description of the vulnerability
  • Steps to reproduce
  • Potential impact
  • Suggested fix (if any)

3. Response Time

  • We will acknowledge your report within 48 hours
  • We will send a detailed response within 7 days
  • We will keep you informed of the progress

4. Disclosure Policy

  • We will investigate and validate the report
  • We will develop and test a fix
  • We will release a security update
  • We will credit you in the release notes (unless you prefer anonymity)

We provide security updates for the latest version of each package:

  • NPM: Latest version
  • NuGet: Latest version
  • Python: Latest version
  • CocoaPods: Latest version
  • Android: Latest version

Security Best Practices

When using this API client:

  1. Never commit API keys - Use environment variables
  2. Rotate keys regularly - Generate new keys periodically
  3. Use HTTPS only - All API calls use secure connections
  4. Validate responses - Check response data before using
  5. Keep packages updated - Update to latest versions regularly
