This project implements a modern Network Intrusion Detection System (NIDS) using deep learning and machine learning to identify cybersecurity threats. It replaces traditional rule‑based methods with an intelligent pipeline that includes PCA‑based feature reduction, autoencoder anomaly detection, and classifiers like XGBoost.Built on a cleaned version of the CICIDS2017 dataset, the system is designed for real‑world use—offering a complete workflow from data preprocessing and model training to ready‑to‑deploy detection. Pre‑trained models are included, making it accessible for education, research, and practical intrusion detection applications.
