## Troubleshooting: Unable to Install Packages

If you are unable to install packages, or if the installation process is taking unusually long, it may be due to the use of the **Anaconda channel**, which is **not supported on the cluster**.

### Check Your Conda Channels
Verify the channels defined in your environment configuration, such as:

- `environment.yml`
- `.condarc` or `.conda/config.yml`

By default, Conda channels are defined in your `.condarc` or `.conda/config.yml` file.

### Fix the default Channel Configuration
You can either edit your `.condarc` or `.conda/config.yml` file manually or run the following command to set the default channel to **conda-forge**:

conda config --remove channels anaconda
conda config --add default_channels conda-forge
