What is PRM

PRM is a mechanism that Salesforce gives you to better manage your relationships with Partners you work with. It allows you to forecast their sales, allocate marketing funds to them for campaigns, and collaborate with them better on leads, campaigns, quotes and opportunities.

(Only licenses that are needed for this are partner and/or partner login licenses, you also need experience cloud sites enabled)

Market Development Funds

If you have partner licenses and experience cloud enabled in your org you will find a bunch of objects centered around market development funds. They are the following:

Partner Marketing Budgets - This object represents a budget that provides funds to channel partners for selling and marketing products and services. You'll typically start here and setup budgets for everyone to use.

Partner Fund Allocations - Represents allocated funds from a partner marketing budget for channel partners.

Partner Fund Claims - Represents a claim of funds from the partner marketing budget by a channel partner.

Partner Fund Requests - Represents a request for funds from the partner marketing budget by a channel partner.

You will find that these are most commonly used for distributing funds for Campaigns (product marketing campaigns, emailing campaigns, etc). However, these could technically be used to fund anything and be tied to any object.
