Not notifying

Chrome 26.0.1410.63
Ubuntu 12.04

The messages from Google Apps Mail/Talk (in a chrome application window) are not showing as notify-send type of bubbles.
Had both Linux Native Notification and Chromify-OSD plugins installed but switching just one on at a time and testing, neither would work.

Any ideas?
