Migrate project to modern tooling

The project has to be migrate to the up to date tooling in the Vue and Web ecosystem. This will introduce breaking changes and will require v3 release

Acceptance criteria

• rewritten with TS
• rewritten using Composition API, with setup script
• Migrated to vite
• ensure best possible compatibility with Vue 3.x.x
