Idea: Persistent Connection Indicator for Extension in AI Studio Tab

Problem:

• There's no reliable way to verify the extension remains connected to the relevant AI Studio tab after it's initially opened or interacted with. We rely on the "Fast Replace" button appearing after generation to make sure it's connected.
• Switching away from the connected AI Studio tab (to other tabs, not related to the extension) often seems to break the extension's connection to that specific original tab. This manifests as the "Fast Replace" button not appearing on subsequent requests within that tab.
• This makes it hard to diagnose if a missing "Fast Replace" button is due to a connection issue or some other reason.

Suggestion:
Add a clear, persistent visual indicator within the UI of each relevant connected AI Studio tab (e.g., a status icon or small text label like "Extension Connected"). This indicator should show the live connection status for that specific tab and update reliably when tab focus changes.

Benefit:
Provides immediate clarity on whether the extension is active for the current tab, helps quickly identify connection drops (especially after switching tabs), and increases user confidence and efficiency.

Hi. We show the button on subsequent responses if they adhere to system instructions (provide name attribute in code blocks). The problem stems from the model's forgetfulness as it was not trained on lengthy coding conversations. The best practice is to refine initial prompt so that you're back to a single turn Q&A type of interaction.
