Cannot install on Manjaro

Running the command sudo pkgm install dev node as shown on the docs produces the following error:

sudo: unable to execute /root/.pkgx/pkgx.sh/v2.7.0/bin/pkgx: Permission denied

What are the permissions of that file?

I've already tried to chmod it to 777 and it still doesn't work.
