Cannot open Rev-A and Rev-C .sch and .brd in latest Eagle (9.6.2)

Hi,

I wanted to discuss the hardware with my friend but cannot open the files.

The RevA and C files cannot be opened by the latest Eagle but the RevB is fine.

When trying to open it, Eagle produce an error said something wrong at line 8.
I then opened all three .brd files by a text editor, found that the RevB was built in a newer Eagle while RevA and C were in an older Eagle. I wonder whether this is the case?
