Import .obj aligned with the VolumeRender

I'm trying to overlay surface meshes (OBJ/GLB) exported from 3D Slicer onto a rendered volume from a NIfTI file. Alignment isn't possible with the current importer because the volume appears rotated/scaled at non-standard angles. At first glance, the NIfTI importer applies a fixed 90° rotation and scales using dims*pixdim instead of using the NIfTI affine (sform/qform). I was wondering if there's a solution for this issue.

Regarding the scale: There's a "Normalise dataset scale on import" option in the import settings window. It's on by default, but you'll want to disable this.

Regarding the rotation: That should have worked, but I guess there might be an issue with the NifTI importer. Which one are you using though? Have you enabled SimpleITK, or are you using the built-in importer?
