Widget keeps loading even when there is no data

I have used Matrix Widget V1.4 in my project (Studio Pro Version 9.6.2).

When there is data in the widget it loads fine, however when there is no data, it shows in a very light colour in the background (no data) but the spinner keeps spinning indefinitely (Refer the attached image).
