Project status?

I was about to post a feature request, but noticed that there have been no commits since January 2023.

@matejak Any chance you could let us know the status? Then, maybe, pin this issue or add the info to the readme?

I'm not complaining or anything like that, I just don't want to post a feature request if the project is on hold, or something like that.

Oh, and yes, I have to add something about how much I like argbash. That's obligatory for a post like this. ;)

Seriously, it's a very useful tool and I've used it in several places. Parsing arguments was always painful until I found argbash. So I really do appreciate the work all the contributors have done on it.

Thanks everybody for their interest,
the project is not totally dead, but no major feature development should be expected for two reasons:

1. Project is mature - it covers a reasonably broad array of use cases, and it is very rare that bugs come up.
2. Underlying technology is arcane - using m4 as a project's language was fun, to some degree fitting the purpose of substituting text, but it is very difficult to write readable code that the community can help to develop.

Version 2.11 will come up in Q2/2025, and we see what to do next.
I am very happy that you are there, you appreciate the tool and that you are able to use it to make your work more productive and/or fun. I would love to hear your stories any time.
