Le Sweet Potato - Loops on waiting for source device enumeration

When booting the flash tool from an SD Card on the Libre Computer Board AML-S905X-CC-V2.0C it starts to boot and I get to line 5.891653 which reads :

udevd [157] error getting socket: Function not implemented

This is followed by

udevd[157] error initializing udev control socket.

From that point onwards I get an endless scroll of messages stating

MAIN: waiting for source device enumeration.

I have added a libre tech 32GB emmc card to the device and that is the only change I have made. If I boot from e.g. Debian on sdcard I can see the device using lsblk, and it appears to be working.

I also flashed the LEFT image to the sd card with the same result.
