syncing my sort across devices

hey im using icloud to sync as I cant afford obsidian sync right now. ive noticed that between my windows computer, ipad, and iphone the notes sync up but my sorting does not i have to change on ever device.... any way to fix this or am i stuck doing it to every device?

Hi @Kasek55. Could you check if your-vault/.obsidian/plugins/manual-sorting/data.json is synced across your devices?

on my icloud drive the manual-sorting folder is empty so im guessing thats why?

ok well i copied 3/4 of the files onto icloud the 4th tells me only obsidian can save that type of file to icloud.... and with the 3/4 files it still sorts it alphabetically on my ipad/iphone not how i chose it on my laptop. I know its syncing as the new notes show up just not the organizing... anyway to force that sync to icloud to get it to save?

Basically, for the plugin to work, you need all 3 files (manifest.json, main.js, styles.css) in the manual-sorting folder. The data.json stores your settings, including the custom order. It will be created automatically if missing when the plugin is enabled.

I’m afraid the plugin doesn’t work correctly on touchpad devices in the latest Obsidian versions, since I experienced the same issue the last time I used Obsidian on my phone. Unfortunately, there’s nothing you can do about it - I’ll need to debug the plugin on a phone. Sorry for the inconvenience.
