AngularDateTimePickerModule is not compatible with Angular Ivy

There is a build error when installing angular-mydatepicker on Angular 16.
'AngularMyDatePickerModule' does not appear to be an NgModule class.
Steps to reproduce:

Create an Angular 16 application.
Add angular-mydatepicker controls to the project.
run ng build

the only solution would be to migrate this library to at least Angular v9, when Ivy was introduced, and compile everything via Ivy.
seems unlikely right now, as the package uses Angular v7, a 5 year old version.

Found out there's a forked version of this repository with an upgraded Angular version that can be used with Ivy compiler.
