SHC Member and Puppet Enabled

We are looking to move to Search Head Clustering and are managing a number of other services on the SHC members with puppet and are required to do so by internal security policy. Currently the "disable puppet" forever option using this module for SHC is a pain and we'd like to continue using this module since we're using it for indexers, licensing, and have been using it for stand-alone search heads.

So is the intent for the module to stay as is, or did the work get abandoned part way through? If its the former, then we'll need to look at alternatives. If it is the latter, then we'll look at whether we can put together a PR. We just need to figure out where to put our effort.

I'm happy to accept a PR if it fixes an issue you're encountering, even better if it includes a test!
