Chore: Improve performance

We create a new http client on each request, potentially we can put that in the init of the plugin. Each time the settings changed it will be re-run.

Potentially the oom was overloading of the cache we have on the ds instance 🤔 I think it could also be a good idea to log the cache time that users are sending and any other metrics, size etc..
