PHP 8 support

Hello.
Will the plugin support PHP 8?
It's currently giving me errors

Hello. Will the plugin support PHP 8? It's currently giving me errors

Thank you - no more errors!
If I use "modal" without "remote" with your version, my DokuWiki shows the default page ('start').
So i've replaced in /syntax/modal.php line 104 with
if ($remote>0) {

That may still throw an error if #remote has no value at all - I think. It has been ages since I delved into all this, and I've forgotten what little PHP I learned.
