Tracking of less-maintained plugins #2103
Description
This is a parent issue for tracking our community's plugins which may be less-maintained or abandoned.
If you'd like to report a plugin which you believe may fit, please open a feature request and we'll take a look. In general, good indicators include:
- Outright statements by owners or authorized maintainers/previous contributors of discontinuation
- A lack of activity on an individual plugin for a length of time which is considerably greater than normal for that plugin
- Open/pending pull requests
- A lack of activity by the owner on any projects relating to flutter_map
Each case is independent. As an organisation, we do not currently have the capability to maintain every plugin. However, where possible and on a non-guaranteed and case-by-case basis, we may be able to consider providing basic updates to support new versions only, where the owner gives permission.
We're happy for the community to get involved, if the owner is happy or inactive for a significant period of time, and we'll update our plugins listing accordingly.
Please avoid harassing owners. Discussion which is acceptable includes information (such as workarounds), community maintained forks, and confirmed statements from owners.
Wherever possible, we want to recommend plugins which support the latest versions of FM, as we want to encourage usage of newer versions (particularly now with some planned/upcoming changes).
