Unable to open older Xcode versions after updating macOS #784

@jonasmarco

Description

@jonasmarco

Describe the bug
After updating macOS to the latest version, the Xcodes application is no longer able to open older versions of Xcode that previously worked without issues.
When attempting to launch an older Xcode version through Xcodes, the app either does not open at all or fails immediately, without displaying a clear error message.

To Reproduce

  • Steps to reproduce the behavior:
  • Update macOS to the latest available version
  • Open the Xcodes application
  • Select an older Xcode version (e.g. Xcode 14.x or 15.x)
  • Attempt to launch the selected Xcode version

Expected behavior
Older Xcode versions should open normally through Xcodes, or at least display a clear error message indicating incompatibility with the current macOS version.

Version

  • OS: Tahoe 26.2
  • Xcodes: 3.0.2

Additional context

These Xcode versions worked correctly via Xcodes before the macOS update.
The issue started immediately after updating the operating system.
