[Feature Request] enhanced navigation

One very annoying thing in the addon is the way navigation between menus/submenus is handled.

For example, when you edit a rom, you have the main menu "Edit ROM" then you enter a sub-menu where you have the ROM edit options.
There is no way to just return to the parent menu back by using the back button, exactly the way it is done in Kodi for every other menus.
You always go back to the rom list and have to start your navigation from the beginning again.
When you need to update half a dozen assets for a ROM, this is a pretty annoying behavior (and very unnatural to be honest).

Would be great to have menu/submenus navigation handled properly as it is done everywhere else in kodi.

That feature is implemented in current master branch and it's experimental. However, I am still thinking about the future of AEL and have to discuss it with collaborators. I will keep you informed about the progress of this feature.
