How can I correctly wrap an AnimatePlot in a Manipulate to edit animation parameters with sliders?

I see. It is a bug of JIT used in Manipulate, please, disable it (by setting PerformaceGoal) when using with AnimatePlot:

Manipulate[AnimatePlot[Sin[x y a], {x,0,2Pi}, {y,0,1}], {a,1,2}, PerformanceGoal->"Quality"]
