Problem with datagen

I'm new to the world of modding and i just started the 1.21 modding tutorial.
I'm at the 11th episode where you explain how datagen works.
However, upon running "data generation" it fails cuz of a "java.lang.NullPointerException: Item id not set" error.
I know that in 1.21.4-ish something changed but i'm too into an early stage to look at the update tutorials
Pls help me, my mod is already beautiful, thanks to u

Did you make sure that in your datagen class it has this code?

    public void onInitializeDataGenerator(FabricDataGenerator fabricDataGenerator) {
        FabricDataGenerator.Pack pack = fabricDataGenerator.createPack();

        pack.addProvider(ModBlockTagProvider::new); // Do this for all the other classe
        // Register other providers here
    }

Yes, the datagen class has the right code, turns out, as i expected, it was a problem originated by the fact that the tutorial was for older versions.
however, after porting the mod to the newest version it still gives me the same errors
