Using Notion's ID column instead of the title column to merge

By now, Notion databases offer an ID column (unique) that could be used to merge existing entries.
Currently, merging only works with the title column, which does not guarantee uniqueness.

Moving the key to the id column would allow the following:

• more human-readible page titles (improves UX in Notion)
• more robust title if changed by user or duplicate pages are created

Thank you for the suggestion.

While Notion does offer ID columns, this feature has certain limitations. From Notion's frontend, unique IDs are automatically generated for each database entry. However, I find that this functionality is not significantly different from the standard "Name" column in several key respects:

1. Users can fully customise their values in either case, though both approaches require manual discipline to maintain consistency.
2. The ID column does not allow for ID reuse once an entry is deleted. Whilst this may be desirable in some use cases, I prefer the flexibility of being able to reuse identifiers.
3. For these reasons, I believe manually created IDs offer greater control and flexibility for users who require it.
4. As CSV2Notion Neo is a free and open-source tool currently in maintenance mode, I do not plan to add new features or introduce significant codebase changes at this time.
