[Suggestion] Magic Formula

Not a real issue of course and not related to the programming.

The whole thing was pretty easy to understand except maybe for the part where you mention a magic formula that "explanation is best left for another time" but is never really mentioned again and then some magic symbols γ and Γ appear. Which I had to look up, on Wikipedia of all places, to find out it's a gamma probability distribution and that chi squared is a special gamma distribution. The Wikipedia page obviously did a horrendous job of actually explaining how to calculate that value.

So maybe a hint or something in the appendix what that magic formula is or where to read more?
