We did not see any instructions of using this gem and were unable to make it run. Are you able to guide us to page where there are instructions?

Also, what is the licensing for this?

Thanks for forking this repo! Unfortunately, this repo is a rails app that is currently not under active development. I haven't built it into a gem, however, I have rewritten the implementation in python.

The new implementation can be found here. It uses youtube comments as the data source rather than movie reviews but the algorithm is essentially the same.

Thanks for heads up. Wondering what outputs it produces? Can it be used on chunk of text that has 100s of customer reviews?

Hey @bazooka720 ,

It takes a string of sentences. We ran it on a large movie review text. If you are planning to run it on 100s of customer reviews, you can concatenate the strings and feed it into the code.

The output is a tree that relates aspects to their sentiments in the input text. The tree itself is represented by a hash in the output. We plotted these in plotly and D3 to show them as an actual tree.
