how we can create multiple tables with migrations

This boilerplate currently does not include any example of typeorm migrations, but it should have one.

Below is the recommended way to handle migrations in this boilerplate.

Solution Steps

Step1. Configure ORM

Step 2. Add TypeORM Script in package.json

By default, TypeORM might not be able to resolve the configuration file path. Therefore, explicitly add the following script to the package.json

  "typeorm": "ts-node --transpile-only ./node_modules/typeorm/cli.js"
}
...

Step3. Generate Migration

To generate a migration, run the following command:

yarn run typeorm migration:generate ./src/migrations/init -d ./src/ormconfig.ts

You can replace init with a custom name for your migration.

Step4. Run migration

To apply the migration, execute:

yarn run typeorm migration:run -d ./src/ormconfig.ts

Conclusion

This approach could lead to some duplication in code, so I will be submitting a pull request soon to address the migration issue.

FYI, don't forget to set up the environment file: .development.env
