EdMatrix Review and Update 2020-2021 #9
Description
I (Brandt Redd) created the EdMatrix taxonomy in 2013 and made a minor update in 2019 based on feedback. It's time for a broader review of the taxonomy, an update with more standards, and dynamic charting functionality. All involving a community of standards advocates.
This is starting in July 2020. As most participants have limited time to dedicate to this, it will take a while - six months to a year.
Principal Tasks are the Following:
- Review and Update the Taxonomy
- Add More Standards Include standards from workforce learning and from international domains.
- Make the Chart Dynamic There are already too many standards to include on the chart at once and that problem will get worse. Make it possible to select standards from the table so a subset are displayed on the chart.
The coordination point will be the issues board for edmatrix.github.io. As this is an open repo, anyone can participate in the discussion and we hope you will do so!
