Advanced mode enables/disables history but does not hide the arrow that opens and closed the drawer

When advanced mode is disabled I still see the arrow that opens and closes the history drawer, this is strange because I when I click it nothing happens until enable advanced  mode. IMO it should be hidden when advanced mode is disabled or a pop up asking if you wanna enable advanced mode should come up.
