Q: Why are left and right swapped/mirrored?

Q: Why are left and right swapped/mirrored in CaDoodle? Is there any idea or logic behind this? TinkerCad doesn't do this, see pictures below.

The TinkerCAD one looks wrong to me. If I imagine I am the cube, the front label is on my front, the back, on my back, the left on my left side, the right on my right side. Even if this was a 3rd party perspective, that still seems wrong. I just can not see how the Tinkercad one is "correct", other than some ancient Autodesk legacy convention.

OK, I understand, it's from the cube's perspective, that makes sense.
I just Googled a bit to see what is used. Indeed Autodesk always follows the Tinkercad way, which is the 3rd party perspective I guess. Here the cubes for Freecad, SolidWorks, Sketchup, SolidEdge.

wow, that is remarkably constant across other platforms. I wonder what the rationale is for that in the other platforms...
