- You'll need the STM32 Cube Programmer
- Connect your device to your PC and prepare the firmware file
- In your device menu, select
Reboot DFUand confirm. On success, the display will show the textDFU Mode - Start STM32 Cube Programmer

- On the right, switch from ST-Link to USB. If your Port says
No DFU detectedyour device is not in DFU mode.

- Click
Connectto connect to the controller inside the device

- Switch to the
Erasing & Programmingtab

- Now select the firmware file, which should have the extension
.elf. If you want to delete all settings as well, checkFull chip erase

- To download the firmware, click
Start Programming - After verification is done, unplug and replug your device. It will start with the normal ArtNET-boot logo if everything went well.
If you messed up the firmware upgrade and nothing happens when you plug the device in, you'll have to manually enter DFU mode again. To do so, open the front plate with the USB-port, carefully get the main PCB out and locate the jumper that says BOOT. Now put that jumper from ■ to DFU. Unplug and replug the device. It will now permanently be in DFU-mode. After your update, put that jumper back on ■, reassemble the device and power cycle.
